I read thirty-five books last year. Taking into account each book has an average length of 250 pages, and each page has about 200 words, I have consumed a total of 1.75 million words. And how much did I produce? I published my third novel that has around 67,000 words. I wrote thirty-five reviews, giving my comments on the books I read, five of which were published on my website. I wrote regularly in my journal, and filled up every single page with roughly fifty-five words each. So, in total, I have produced roughly 108,085 words in their written form, that is, about 6% of what I read. To reach 100%, I shall perhaps need another sixteen years before I can produce a masterpiece. That’s my fuzzy logic.
